A New Dawn. A New Day. A New Blog.

Hello internet. This is something I've been nurturing in the back of my head for quite a while now and I've finally, after an unspeakable length of time spent procrastinating, decided to take the plunge and just do this. I pledge to update this on a regular basis and hopefully to start some discussion and/or meet some new people. Who knows?

Lofty goals? Perhaps. But if nothing else I'm looking forward to the challenge and commitment of maintaining this and of getting into the habit of writing regularly for a reason. Sure, it's always better to write this sort of stuff for an audience, but if there's no-one out there, then that's ok too. This is predominantly a place for me to get out all sorts of rants, raves and reviews of whatever entertainment-related delight I am consuming at any given moment, most of which I am at a loss of likeminded people to discuss them with. I'll be including everything from books, movies, TV shows, comics etc., everything and anything that takes my interest and over which I become obsessed. (It happens a lot). Anyway, you get the idea.

There may also be some rants and musings unrelated to all-things pop culture when the mood takes me, but primarily it will be a place to collect all my thoughts and opinions on the important things in life! :D

So in any case, if anyone actually does stumble across this and likes what they read, wants to discuss something I've said, recommend something, or even just wants to call me out on something that they disagree with (I can't imagine there is much disagreement on the internet...), then by all means, comment away and make yourself known. That way I'll feel less stupid when I write things like 'you get the idea'.

So, here goes. I'm pretty confident that in years to come, there won't be a global holiday commemorating this day, or a plaque erected in this very spot in which I sit now about to embark on this journey. However, god-willing I'll at least look back and say 'I kept it up!', and that's good enough. Although a plaque would be nice...
